Allison is a Illinois Clinical Professional Counselor who has been practicing since 2004. Allison has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Management. She earned her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Governor's State University. As a clinician, Allison has provided counseling services at Governor's State University Counseling Lab, Oak Lawn Family Services, Grand Prairie Services and Psychological Fitness Center. Allison has experience treating a variety of issues with adults, children and adolescents. During her time as a clinician at Grand Prairie Services she was promoted to clinical team leader and responsible for supervising fellow therapists.
Allison treats children, adolescents and adults. Her specific areas of interest and practice include dealing with depressive disorders, the spectrum of anxiety disorders, behavioral problems, anger, parenting issues, and adjustment disorders including coping with parental separation or divorce. Allison has participated in an intensive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training program for the treatment of children and adolescents at Northwestern University. Her treatment modalities include individual and family therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused therapy and Play Therapy. Allison also attends therapy workshops throughout the year to maintain an active license status and remain up to date with effective treatment strategies.
