Christina Reed, MA, LCPC

Christina M. Reed, MA, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor providing individual, couple and family counseling to children, adolescents and adults. She studied Psychology and Sociology at Illinois State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree. Christina earned her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Governors State University. Christina’s professional work has been with clients in both private and social service agency settings. Christina has extensive experience and training counseling victims of sexual assault/abuse, using play and art therapy with children and adolescents, and working with anxiety and depression. She is also skilled at helping clients with issues of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, grief and loss, eating disorders, self injury, and family a nd personal relationship.

Christina believes counseling should be a confidential, safe place for people to receive support, examine challenges and obstacles, explore relationships, reduce stress, facilitate healing, and discover a path to a meaningful and satisfying life. Christina’s professional affiliations include the American Counseling Association, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the Illinois Counseling Association, the Illinois Mental Health Counseling Association, and the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
